We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Youth Justice Mental Health Clinician to join our team at Alfred Health. This role will provide specialist mental health assessment, treatment, and support for young persons and their families involved with the Youth Justice system. In addition, the role has an educational, community development, and networking role which includes consultation and advice to Youth Justice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist mental health assessment, treatment, and support for young persons and their families involved with the Youth Justice system.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each young person.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support to young persons and their families.
  • Consult and advise Youth Justice on mental health matters related to young persons in the Youth Justice system.
  • Develop and deliver educational programs and workshops to support the mental health and wellbeing of young persons and their families.

Requirements

  • Approved tertiary qualifications and eligibility for registration with the relevant professional registering body.
  • Minimum seven years' experience working in the field of mental health.
  • Extensive experience providing mental health, forensic, and alcohol and other drug assessment and intervention in partnership with young people and families.
  • Australian working rights.
  • Full Covid-19 and 2024 Influenza vaccinations.
  • Current Victorian Driver's License.
  • Current Working with Children Check and willingness to undergo a Background Check.
