About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and adaptable individual to join our team as a Transformation Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to shaping the future of the Net Zero Economy Agency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the detailed design and establishment of the Authority, and the intended functions of the legislated Authority
  • Catalyse investment in new industries and jobs, particularly in emissions-intensive regions
  • Support workers impacted by net zero transition, particularly workers in coal-fired power stations and dependent mines, transition to new opportunities
  • Coordinate policy and program design and delivery for an orderly and positive net zero economic transformation
  • Build community understanding, confidence, and engagement with net zero economic transformation

Requirements:

  • Highly motivated and adaptable individual with a wide range of expertise and transferable skills
  • Background in (but not limited to) investment facilitation, policy, First Nations and community engagement, and workplace relations
  • Strong interest in Australia's transition to net zero and the challenges facing regions and their communities, industry, and government
  • Flexibility and adaptability will be important, noting some roles may evolve over time as the Agency develops
