About the Role

The Net Zero Economy Agency is seeking highly motivated and adaptable individuals to join our team. As a key member of our agency, you will contribute to promoting orderly and positive economic transformation as the world decarbonises, ensuring Australia, its regions, and workers realise and share the benefits of the net zero economy.

Responsibilities
  • Support the agency's efforts in investment facilitation, policy coordination and coherence, and communications and engagement.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to provide advice and guidance on net zero economic transformation.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and programs that support a smooth transition to a net zero economy.
  • Engage with community groups and industry representatives to build support for net zero economic transformation.
Requirements
  • Background in investment facilitation, policy, First Nations and community engagement, and workplace relations.
  • Strong interest in Australia's transition to net zero and the challenges facing regions and their communities, industry, and government.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in accounting and finance, communications, data analysis, human resources, policy analysis, project management, and stakeholder engagement.

  • Australian citizenship is required for this role, unless exceptional circumstances apply.
