Job Title: Quality Assurance Specialist

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our quality assurance department, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct quality assessments on incoming and outgoing products against customer specifications.
  • Conduct compliance checks in accordance with customer specifications.
  • Conduct daily product retention (incoming and EOSL) and shelf life assessments.
  • Conduct site GMP checks to ensure that GMP, HACCP, and Food Safety are compliant.
  • Conduct Regional Distribution Center (RDC) and other staff training in GMP.
  • Attend to administrative tasks and duties in relation to all QA documentation.
  • Conduct and record cool room temperature checks daily.
  • Escalate any issues in relation to quality and Technical principles, protocols, and processes.
  • Attend and actively participate in team meetings as required.
  • Be proactive and participate in recommending solutions to improve team performance.
  • Manage all associated tasks and priorities in a professional and timely manner.
  • Inspect stock both incoming and outgoing to ensure the required quality standards are adhered to.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in QA/QC in fresh produce, meat, or dairy industry is preferred.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good time management and organization skills with a methodical approach to work
  • Ability to thrive in a challenging and fast-paced environment
  • Computer literacy in MS Office
  • Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service with the ability to build sound professional relationships
  • A positive mental attitude and optimistic approach to work
  • Ability to work autonomously with flexibility around working hours
