As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality standards are met across our fresh produce operations.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting quality assessments on incoming and outgoing products, as well as performing compliance checks to ensure our products meet customer specifications.

Main Responsibilities
  • Quality Assessments: Conduct thorough inspections of products to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Compliance Checks: Perform regular checks to ensure products comply with customer specifications.
  • Product Retention and Shelf Life Assessments: Evaluate product retention and shelf life to identify areas for improvement.
  • GMP, HACCP, and Food Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), and Food Safety regulations through site checks.
  • Training and Development: Train Regional Distribution Center staff on GMP best practices.
  • Administrative Tasks: Assist with administrative duties related to QA documentation.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience: Previous experience in QA/QC in the fresh produce industry is highly desirable.
  • Skill Set: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, effective time management and organization skills, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Education and Training: Computer literacy in MS Office and commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
