Job Role: Produce Sourcing Specialist

We are seeking a skilled produce sourcing specialist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement unit, you will be responsible for identifying and purchasing high-quality fresh produce from local markets and suppliers.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Identifying and selecting various types of fresh produce that meet our quality standards.
  • Conducting thorough market research to stay updated with seasonal trends and supplier networks.
  • Building strong relationships with suppliers and farmers to ensure reliable and efficient supply chains.
  • Negotiating prices and terms with suppliers to achieve the best value for the business.
  • Coordinating with logistics teams for timely delivery of purchased produce.
  • Assisting in planning and forecasting procurement needs as the company grows.
  • Maintaining compliance with food safety regulations and standards.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in produce sourcing or a related role is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of local produce, seasonal trends, and supplier networks.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
  • A keen eye for detail and quality.
  • Basic computer skills for record keeping and reporting.
