Melbourne, Victoria, Australia Epping Mechanical and Engineering Works Full time

Epping Mechanical and EngineeringWorks, a well-established automotive repair business located in Epping(3076), VIC, is currently seeking a full-time qualified Motor Mechanic to join their growing team.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in engines and related components

Dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering systems, and other vehicle parts for inspection

Repair or replace worn or damaged parts using service manuals where required, and reassemble mechanical systems

Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, lubrication, and engine tune-ups, to improve performance and ensure compliance with emissions standards

Reassemble engines and other components after repair work is completed

Test and adjust mechanical parts to ensure optimal operation

Use computer-based diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and assess vehicle issues

Conduct vehicle inspections and issue roadworthiness certificates or provide a list of required repairs

Respond to roadside breakdowns and provide mobile repair services when necessary

Requirements:

Certificate III or higher in a relevant automotive field

Minimum of 1 year relevant work experience
