Job Title: Assistant Director, Digital Operations Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading organisation as the Assistant Director, Digital Operations Specialist.

The role involves partnering with cross-functional teams to provide consultancy on digital architecture, security and infrastructure. They will also create detailed designs and documentation to support new initiatives.

The primary focus is managing, maintaining and enhancing the digital environment through provision of high-quality advice and expertise.

About the Role:
  • Provide insights, advice and support in the design and implementation of effective architectures for the digital environment.
  • Guide projects and BAU improvements to ensure they align with the enterprise architecture standards, governance and industry standards.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and guidance on complex infrastructure and related service challenges.
  • Drive operational performance outcomes which contribute to achieving ICT operations section goals.
  • Oversight of root cause analysis and problem rectification activities.
  • Foster a culture that drives high performance, collaboration, agility and accountability in ICT services delivery.
  • Lead, motivate and mentor team members to foster ongoing professional development, knowledge transfer and career growth.

Develop use cases to recommend enhanced automated processes to release innovative solutions into the live environment.

The ability to bring new ideas and innovation to the Commission.

Review technical documentation to ensure applications can be maintained by the Commission.

Selection Criteria:

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following:

  • Understanding of Essential 8/PSPF in relation to Government regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, domain and Azure Administration.
  • Experienced in leading work through scrum and project frameworks.
  • Experience in creating technical documentation, including architecture and system designs.
  • Proven ability to prioritise and manage competing demands, excellent problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, relationship building and change management skills.
  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills, including negotiation and influencing confidently.
  • Understand and actively demonstrate APS Code of Conduct and Values.
  • Industry-related qualifications or certifications.
