Senior Environmental Scientist Job

We are seeking a Senior Environmental Scientist to join our team of experts in contaminated land and groundwater investigations. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our business and delivering exceptional results for our clients.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced professional to lead field programs, provide high-quality data gap assessments, and develop reports to exceptional technical and editorial standards. You will work collaboratively with our team to meet client expectations and contribute to the success of our projects.

  • Plan sampling design and coordinate field programs.
  • Lead field programs implementing soil, groundwater, and surface water sampling, including drilling supervision, test pitting, and groundwater monitoring well installation.
  • Provide high-quality data gap assessments and contaminated land investigations in accordance with ASC NEPM requirements.
  • Develop reports to exceptional technical and editorial standards and work collaboratively with the team to meet client expectations.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in environmental engineering or science disciplines.
  • Relevant experience in undertaking contaminated land and/or groundwater investigations.
  • A strong professional work ethic and commitment to health and safety for yourself, your team, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Detailed understanding of the Contaminated Sites Act 2003 and National Environment Protection Measures and other current and emerging National and Western Australian legislation, standards, and guidelines for contaminated land.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • A current driver's license.
