Environmental Management Opportunity

This role is designed for an experienced Environmental Professional to join our team. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for overseeing and governing environmental management outcomes, coaching on effective risk management, and providing technical expertise to grow environmental capability in operational leaders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversight of environmental management systems and implementation of effective controls to manage risks
  • Collaboration with other teams through in-field engagement and verification of environmental management controls
  • Participation and coaching as an environmental subject matter expert in risk register reviews, assessments, and event investigations
  • Collection and reporting of environmental monitoring and performance data
  • Utilization of work management to administer environmental approval obligations and meet reporting timeframes
Requirements:
  • Environmental management experience in mining or a similar industry
  • Ability to work autonomously and demonstrate strong interpersonal and engagement skills
  • Tertiary qualifications in environmental science or a related field
  • Knowledge of environmental protection frameworks and approval pathways
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience with environment management systems
  • Geospatial applications such as GIS ArcMap
  • Interpreting data and legal obligations
  • Communicating environmental requirements in a simple manner
