Position Summary

We are seeking a Group Chief Financial Officer to spearhead financial operations for a rapidly expanding Australian RTW brand with a substantial retail presence.

In this pivotal role, the Chief Financial Officer will oversee the formulation, management, and execution of the organization's financial strategies.

Reporting directly to the CEO and collaborating with key executives, the CFO will serve as an integral member of the executive leadership team, providing strategic financial guidance and support across all financial, accounting, and operational functions to ensure that planning, budgeting, operations, sales, and marketing initiatives align with the company's revenue and growth objectives.

The ideal candidate will lead and nurture the finance team to guarantee the accuracy of financial management information, ensuring compliance with taxation and other regulatory requirements.

Additionally, the CFO will enhance and streamline administrative processes, internal controls, and finance-related IT systems, implementing comprehensive financial reporting tools, dashboards, and templates throughout the organization.

The Chief Financial Officer will possess a deep understanding of business operations, leveraging this knowledge to actively guide strategic planning, budgeting, and performance assessment processes. They will be responsible for evaluating and reporting on the financial implications of potential developments, new store openings, capital investments, or acquisitions.

Moreover, the CFO will ensure adherence to statutory and regulatory obligations both domestically and internationally, acting as a key liaison for external advisors, including legal counsel, auditors, and financial institutions.

The successful candidate will be a certified practicing accountant with at least 5 years of experience in a financial management role within a retail specialty or FMCG context, ideally in a global organization.

Exceptional problem-solving skills, analytical and technical proficiency, strong IT and numerical capabilities, and a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles are essential. The candidate should also demonstrate outstanding communication and leadership abilities.
