About the Role

**Financial Accounting and Reporting**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Manager to lead our financial accounting and reporting functions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and clarity of our financial statements and reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of comprehensive financial accounting and reporting, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Monitor and review statutory GST and tax lodgements, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Prepare month-end management accounts and board reporting packs, providing insightful analysis to support decision-making.
  • Prepare detailed year-end financial statements and tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
  • Conduct monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Provide support for ad-hoc requests from management, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to engage in a variety of tasks.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of three to four years of experience in a similar role, ideally within a similar industry. You should have full membership in a recognized accountancy institute, such as CA or CPA. Experience with New Zealand and Canadian companies is highly regarded, though not essential.

Requirements:

  • Strong attention to detail and a natural investigative approach to work.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in communication, both written and verbal, is essential.
