About the Role

This exciting opportunity offers hands-on experience in spiritual growth and development, working closely with our leadership team to support community transformation.

You will be an active member of the Corps Leadership Team, championing the intersection of faith and community while assisting in recovery ministry. The role includes regular involvement in Sunday worship, where you will facilitate various aspects of church life and community outreach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and facilitate programs that align with Corps goals and mission intentions
  • Provide pastoral care and discipleship, as agreed with the Corps Officer
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure programs comply with policies and procedures
  • Assist with setup and cleaning of activity spaces to ensure safety and engagement
  • Build strong relationships with community groups and services onsite
  • Support and participate in funding and budget compliance activities
  • Help lead meetings and manage operational hazards as required

Requirements

  • A commitment to the Christian faith and the mission of The Salvation Army
  • The ability to confidently offer pastoral assistance, prayer, and explain the Gospel
  • Experience in AOD or community services (preferred)
  • Capacity to facilitate both group programs and one-on-one support, with a focus on faith-based activities
