Minister of Holy Tao

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated professional to join our organization as a Minister of Holy Tao.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating at high quality levels, managing communication assignments and research, and coordinating the delivery of major holy preaching seminars.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist team members in achieving their commitments and mission.
  • Develop team members to support the delivery of major holy preaching seminars.
  • Lead a team of spiritual guidance for compassion and train volunteers to respond quickly to appropriate spiritual guidance or counseling needs.
  • Support administrative tasks as required.
  • Train team leadership for event management activities to deliver high-quality results for major holy seminars.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct services of Tao for public worship and organize holy seminars.
  • Deliver presentations for Tao preachment and plan diverse interpreter's services.
  • Conduct holy classes of Tao religious instruction, supervise prayer, meditation sessions, and discussion groups, lead sutra chanting sessions periodically, retreats, and major holy preaching seminars for Tao religious advancement.
  • Perform marriages, funerals, and special memorial services if required or requested by the Tao religion community.
  • Research and prepare Tao material preachment and support youth class programs and promote vegetarianism.
  • Lead a team and recruit people by providing compassionate and spiritual guidance for Tao cultivators and family counseling on behalf of the temple if required and requested.
  • Train and develop a team committed to prayer and worship support for other ministry staff.
  • Organize meetings, major events, and functions, including catering under the direction of the Senior Master.
  • Maintain and control budgets and expenses related to major events.
  • Manage tasks and contributors effectively.

Requirements:

  • Be able to live a monastic life at our organization.
  • Be proficient in Chinese with a solid foundation in theology and familiar with Taoism, Confucianism, and Buddhism teachings.
  • Be familiar with the practice method of Tao events.
  • Hold a bachelor's degree in Minister of Religion or equivalent training program for at least five years and gain at least two years placement of voluntary work experience in your local country or in a foreign country.
  • Speak Mandarin fluently; knowing other languages such as English is an extra bonus.
  • 5+ years' experience in Tao practice.
  • Ability to work some evenings and weekends.
  • Proficient in software applications such as Microsoft Office, Adobe, PowerPoint, Excel etc.
