Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated professional to join our team as a Pastoral Care Provider. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our residents, providing spiritual and emotional support in a warm and inclusive environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing personalized care and support to residents, working closely with the Pastoral Care Lead to identify and address their needs. They will also contribute to case notes, palliative and end-of-life care, and assist in coordinating volunteer rosters.

About the Role
  • Liaise regularly with the Pastoral Care Lead to ensure resident needs are identified and suitable support responses are in place
  • Support new residents, including pastoral care assessments, plans, and progress notes
  • Contribute to case notes, palliative, and end-of-life care, including support and guidance to residents and families
  • Assist in coordinating volunteer rosters, especially for special occasions and holidays
  • Maintain confidentiality and provide effective service that meets the needs of all residents from culturally diverse backgrounds
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Relevant qualifications in Pastoral Care, Theology, and/or Spirituality and/or Counselling
  • Knowledge and understanding of Catholic teaching, tradition, and ecumenism
  • Experience in providing pastoral care in a Catholic Health or Aged Care setting
  • Ideal candidates will be accredited Eucharistic Ministers in the Catholic tradition or prepared to become one
  • Queensland Provisional Green or above drivers' license
  • Able to obtain required legislative requirements
