Empowering Veterans through Vocational Training

Wounded Heroes Australia is committed to supporting veterans and their families by providing Skilling Queenslanders for Work (SQW) programs that equip disadvantaged individuals with essential skills and confidence to enter the workforce.

We seek passionate and experienced Supervisors/Trainers to lead the delivery of Certificate I in Hospitality under the SQW program. This role is ideal for someone enthusiastic about vocational training, empowering others, and making a real difference.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support participants throughout the training program.
  • Deliver engaging, hands-on hospitality training aligned with national standards.
  • Prepare meals for veterans and their families in crisis.
  • Mentor and motivate learners from diverse backgrounds.
  • Foster a supportive learning environment.
  • Monitor participant progress and provide feedback.
  • Liaise with the RTO to ensure quality of training delivery.
  • Assist in job placement or further training opportunities.

Essential Criteria:

  • Relevant qualifications and experience in hospitality or community-based programs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Genuine passion for helping others succeed.
  • Current Blue Card and Police Check.

Desirable:

  • Experience delivering SQW or similar programs.
  • Background working with vulnerable people or understanding of the veteran community.
