Training Operations Coordinator

We are seeking a dedicated professional to coordinate, implement, and maintain training initiatives across our site. The successful candidate will work closely with senior people & culture advisors, operational teams, and external providers to ensure robust and compliant training practices are embedded throughout the business.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for developing people and improving operational outcomes.
About the Role:
The Training Specialist will be responsible for coordinating the training function across operations, working closely with managers, teams, and external providers to ensure that training practices are aligned with business objectives.
- Implement and maintain the training strategy across the site.
- Report to senior people & culture advisors, operational teams, production staff, and external teams.
- Coordinate and support operational teams regarding all internal training requirements and monitor training effectiveness.
- Review and update training documentation, SOPs, and task descriptions.
- Ensure training records and systems are accurate and audit-ready.
- Manage and monitor training matrices.
- Support onboarding, skills assessment, induction, and succession planning for manufacturing teams.
- Liaise with external training providers and assist with scheduling and coordination.
- Assist with reporting, compliance tracking, and continuous improvement projects.
- Provide responsive support to supervisors and team members on training needs.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Completion of Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE) - essential.
- Cert III or IV in Meat Processing and AUS Meat credentials (desirable).
- Experience in ELMO and HRIS systems.
- Proven background in workplace training within food or manufacturing.
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
- The ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines with confidence.
- A positive, hands-on attitude and willingness to continuously improve.
- Culturally aware and inclusive, with the ability to engage diverse teams.
