Risk and Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk and Compliance Specialist to join our team at Woolworths Group. As a key member of our Compliance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the company's compliance with internal policies, relevant contracts/agreements, and all legal and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, relevant contracts/agreements, and all legal and regulatory requirements in accordance with an internal Compliance Plan for Trolley Collection and Cleaning contractors;
  • Perform compliance reviews as required under the Operational Compliance Plan and report on the results of these reviews;
  • Identify and assess risks and advise relevant stakeholders on the risk management approach and ensure risks are managed per the company's risk appetite and governance principles;
  • Assist with the day-to-day management of the Audit Process and ensure the audit programs are delivered as per the schedule;
  • Investigate any instances of non-conformance as reported by the Office of the Fair Work Ombudsman in relation to Trolley Collection and Cleaning contractor queries, and identify and document agreed-upon remedial actions;
  • Investigate and report on complaints received through the outsourced 'Speak Up Line', through the Fair Work Ombudsman, or through direct contact to any Woolworths representative;
  • Support and coordinate monitoring activities to ensure compliance with applicable legal, ethical, and regulatory standards;
  • Assist with reviewing, amending, and implementing programs, policies, and plans necessary to facilitate business continuity management;
Requirements:
  • Solid previous experience in similar Operational Risk, Compliance, or Audit roles;
  • Strong understanding of FWO awards and ability to interpret;
  • Strong Audit and Investigation experience in an IR capacity;
  • Experience in safety and compliance standards of a large contract force;
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, including consultation, negotiation, and presentational skills;
  • Experience in facilities management soft services such as cleaning, trolley collection (desired);
