We're seeking an experienced Parts Advisor to join our dedicated team at Clayton. As a key player in parts sales, you'll be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring timely and accurate information regarding parts needs.

This full-time, permanent position offers opportunities for career growth and development. Reporting directly to the Parts Manager, you'll work Monday to Friday on a rotating roster, participating in a Saturday morning roster and contributing to after-hours support (shared among the team).

A typical day will involve:

  • Engaging with customers face-to-face and over the phone at the front counter
  • Leveraging your knowledge to locate Cat parts for customers and technicians
  • Following up and addressing outstanding jobs related to parts inquiries and customer concerns
  • Utilizing various digital and print resources for system-based parts interpretation
  • Assisting with warehouse tasks, including receiving, order picking, and dispatch
  • E nsuring adherence to company accounts receivable processes for parts sales transactions
  • Maintaining display areas and stock cleanliness

To excel in this role, you'll require:

  • Mechanical expertise and a background in earthmoving or automotive (preferred)
  • Exceptional communication skills with a positive attitude
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications
  • Experience working with different systems and databases
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Familiarity with Caterpillar products (desired but not essential)
