Become a Key Player in Delivering Physical and Mental Health Support

Job Description

Our team is seeking an experienced Exercise Physiologist to provide evidence-based treatments to veterans and their families, addressing physical injury, mental health, pain, and chronic disease management. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver individual and group treatment sessions, leading exercise and education programs.

  • Conduct clinical assessments and develop tailored therapies for positive outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with referrers, adhering to best practice, organisational values, and legislative compliance.
  • Understand and adhere to compliance requirements as a provider under funding programs.
  • Collaborate in the design, development, delivery, and evaluation of health and wellbeing programs, including group interventions.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to inform and promote service delivery.
  • Maintain a safe environment in the rehabilitation gym, including tasks related to infection control, client inductions, safety audits, and maintenance.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in an exercise physiology position.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Exercise Physiology and full membership with ESSA as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist.
  • Experience in delivering exercise physiology to Defence members and their families, and provision of both group and individual interventions, such as hydrotherapy, Pilates, and group conditioning classes.
