The role of an Information Services Officer is pivotal in delivering personalized support to veterans accessing health and wellbeing services from the Department of Veterans' Affairs.

Job Summary
  • This position plays a critical role in supporting the delivery of high-quality, personalized service to current and former members of the Australian Defence Force.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Defence notifications functions provided to DVA by Defence.
  • Support the Information Services Officer team in processing early engagement data and quality assurance within Process Direct.
  • Demonstrate understanding of matters relevant to DVA services and entitlements.
  • Provide advice and interpretation on aspects of DVA processes and legislation for clients.
  • Develop strong working relationships with DVA staff and key stakeholders to enhance service delivery to the veteran community.
  • Work closely with the National VSO team and relevant areas of DVA and the Defence community to support service delivery.
  • Identify persons at risk or with high needs for referral support to Triage and Connect.
  • Support representational and outreach activities, including presentations to ADF seminars and veteran advocate training sessions.
Mandatory Requirements
  • Capacity to travel and ability to undertake overnight travel and work after hours and on weekends (if required).
  • Ability to gain and maintain a Defence security clearance.
  • A current driver's licence.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Baseline Security Clearance (or the ability to hold a security clearance).
