Rehabilitation Consultant Job Description

Key Responsibilities
  • We support individuals who have sustained physical and/or psychological injuries at work by applying clinical reasoning skills.
  • A holistic care approach is taken, working within a multidisciplinary team to facilitate recovery and healing.
  • Variety of assessments are performed, including Vocational Assessments, Transferrable Skills Assessment, Job preparation services, Worksite Assessments, and initial needs assessments.
  • Collaboration with stakeholders, including injured employees, employers, medical specialists, and allied health professionals, occurs.
  • Rehabilitation plans are developed, implemented, and monitored through case management.

A diverse client base is supported, exposing you to various industries, including transport, agriculture, government, construction, hospitality, retail, manufacturing, and professional services.

Meaningful and purposeful work supports clients in returning to their jobs or finding new employment opportunities.

  • Current unrestricted registration or membership with the relevant industry body is required.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Rehabilitation Counselling or Psychology are necessary.
  • Strong clinical reasoning is essential.
  • Ability to engage across multidisciplinary teams to support the achievement of a common goal is vital.
  • Passion to help people rehabilitate is crucial.
  • Occupational Rehabilitation experience is highly desirable.
