Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist

We are seeking highly skilled professionals with a background in Psychology, Health Sciences, or Rehabilitation Counselling, Nursing or Social Work to join our team as Occupational Rehabilitation Specialists.

This diverse role offers flexibility and autonomy to manage your own day, with the support of a strong team of healthcare professionals and the backing of a global corporate infrastructure.

You will provide occupational rehabilitation services to clients with various conditions, both physical and psychological, and support them in achieving return to health and return to work outcomes.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing caseloads with support from Rehabilitation Assistants
  • Applying clinical knowledge to improve return to work outcomes
  • Developing and implementing injury prevention and workplace education programs for employers and employees
  • Collaborating with injured workers, employers, medical, and allied health professionals
  • Working across various schemes, including workers' compensation, compulsory third party, life insurance, Comcare, Department of Veteran's Affairs, and employer-funded injury prevention programs
  • Assisting individuals with an injury or health condition to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes
  • Completing assessments using clinical skills, including initial, ADL, workplace, and vocational assessments

Key qualifications include:

  • Previous experience in Occupational Rehabilitation (highly regarded)
  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Health Sciences, or Rehabilitation Counselling, Nursing or Social Work
  • General or Provisional registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or eligibility for Associate or Full membership with Australian Society of Rehabilitation Counsellors (ASORC) or accreditation with AASW
  • Fabulous communication skills, compassion, kindness, empathy, and well-developed time management skills
  • A current NSW Driver's License and access to own car with comprehensive insurance
