Job Title: Meat Packer

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Meat Packer in Canning Vale. As a Meat Packer, you will be responsible for efficiently slicing and packing poultry and red meat products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Slicing and packing of poultry and red meat products with high precision and quality control.
  • Assisting in stock processing and loading onto the process table with minimal waste and maximum efficiency.
  • Utilizing trolleys to transport goods to packing sections while maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Maintaining high standards of hygiene by washing basins, boots, and dust coats as per roster.
  • Preparing orders for customers, conducting stock takes, and placing products onto pallets and wrapping them effectively.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with food industry/HACCP knowledge and practices.
  • Boning Knife Experience is essential for this role.
  • Machine operations experience with cutters, dicers, mincers, vacuum pack, slicer, or strapper equipment is required.

  • Basic Mathematical Skills to accurately measure and weigh ingredients.
  • Clear/Open and Transparent Communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Good attention to detail to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Ability to work as a good team member to achieve shared goals.
  • Good Time management skills to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.
