Key Responsibilities of the Legal Secretary:

We are in search of a diligent and skilled Secretary to provide exemplary support to Partners and Associates within the Employment, Immigration, and Data Privacy and Cyber practice groups. This position necessitates an individual who can serve as the primary point of contact for clients, oversee billing and credit control functions, and ensure the efficient execution of daily administrative operations.

  • Manage and coordinate billing and credit control activities, including drafting billing requests, managing narratives, and following up on outstanding invoices.
  • Organize and facilitate meetings, ensuring all necessary arrangements and materials are in place.
  • Assist with client communications, document preparation, and various administrative tasks as required.
  • Support marketing efforts, including event planning and coordination.
  • Contribute to team development by sharing insights and mentoring junior colleagues.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across different departments to ensure seamless service delivery.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Secretary, preferably within the legal or financial sectors.
  • Previous experience in billing and credit control is advantageous, although we are open to candidates with a background as a Legal Secretary or Administrator who are eager to learn.
  • Exceptional organizational and administrative skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to manage a demanding workload and provide support to multiple team members under pressure.
  • Proactive and confident in exercising judgment to meet client and team requirements.
  • A collaborative team player with excellent communication skills and a positive, adaptable attitude.

Technical Proficiencies:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Familiarity with document and practice management systems, with training provided as necessary.
