Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Payroll Officer to join our team for an 8-month contract.

About the Role

This is a dynamic and fast-paced environment where you will be integral to our operations, handling a complex payroll system across four legal employers and nine payrolls.

As a Payroll Officer, your primary responsibility will be to manage end-to-end payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payments, leave, and superannuation. You will also provide payroll support, addressing queries confidentially and participating in reporting and reconciliations.

The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle confidential information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payments, leave, and superannuation.
  • Provide payroll support, addressing queries confidentially and participating in reporting and reconciliations.
  • Process contract variations, pay changes, and maintain compliance with relevant legislation and enterprise agreements.
  • Work closely with Payroll Specialists and other teams, fostering a high-performance culture.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in payroll within a medium to large organisation, with familiarity in Oracle or similar payroll systems.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle confidential information.
  • Understanding of payroll processing, PAYG, superannuation, and relevant legislation, previous experience interpreting enterprise agreements (EAs).
