Meat Carcase Assessment Specialist

The role of a Carcase Grader is a vital position within our meat processing facility. As part of this team, you will be responsible for visually assessing carcases to ensure they meet Aus-meat/MSA standards.
This involves checking documentation and using a handheld DCU to enter grading data. Additionally, you will need to upload and generate reports as well as calibrate equipment to maintain accuracy.
It is also essential that you can correctly grade positively identified by our company grading system and report any non-compliance of carcase segregation to senior management.
To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience in a meat processing facility. A statement of attainment in chiller/assessment for Aus-meat/MSA is highly regarded.
Intermediate computer literacy, particularly MS Office skills, are also necessary. You must be able to understand and comply with Workplace Health and Safety standards and demonstrate interpersonal and communication skills.
As a team player and individual contributor, you will need to work effectively with internal stakeholders and follow JBS Australia Policies and Procedures. Willingness to undergo Q fever immunisation is also required.
