Job Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Social Worker to join our Mental Health Care Coordination Team. As a Senior Social Worker, you will work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team to support people living with moderate to severe mental illness.


Key Responsibilities:
  • You will apply advanced clinical expertise and independent practice skills to manage a complex caseload and provide escalation support.
  • You will work collaboratively with colleagues while leading your own caseload, ensuring safe, ethical, person-centred care.
  • You will possess compassion and composure in complex and challenging environments, providing trauma-informed, empathetic care.
  • You will be a dependable team player, contributing to collaboration across integrated teams, with strong time management, active listening, and digital skills.
  • You will be motivated by ongoing growth, embracing challenges with curiosity and a learning mindset, always striving to refine your practice.

Requirements:
  • A recognised Social Work degree with AASW eligibility is required.
  • A current NSW Driver's Licence and ability to travel are necessary.
  • Strong knowledge of AASW Practice Standards and commitment to ongoing professional growth are expected.
  • Expertise in mental health assessments, interventions, and models of care across a range of psychiatric conditions is essential.
  • Significant experience supporting people with lived experience of mental illness, delivering evidence-based interventions is required.
  • Demonstrated leadership in quality improvement and commitment to evidence-based practice is necessary.
