LEAP Social Services offers a fulfilling opportunity to mentor and support young people in need within the community.
Before starting with LEAP, every support worker participates in a comprehensive half-day induction that provides valuable insights into the company, its services, your team, and the broader industry.
LEAP is committed to fostering meaningful relationships. We take the time to understand your interests and skills to match you with young people whose needs and personalities align with yours, ensuring an enjoyable and impactful support experience.
Joining LEAP Social Services allows you to make a significant difference by helping young people in crisis achieve their goals and become more engaged in their communities.
**Learn closely from coordinators, while providing the following supports**:
- One on One Goal based: meeting goals while participating in community activities,
- Supervised Transport: assist taking children/young people to school or around the community,
- Supervised Contact Visits: accompany children/young people during their visitations with family,
- Respite/In-Home Support: help establish and maintain routines within families experiencing adversity, and
- Overnight Residential Care Support: become part of a team that supports children/young people who are in 24 hour/7 day care with LEAP.
**Location**:Central Coast NSW - Willingness to travel if needed.
**Applicants must possess**:
- Current Employee Working with Children Check, and a clear Criminal History Check.
- Relevant NDIS workers screening is essential (NDIS Worker Check)
- Current First Aid Certificate,
- A reliable clean vehicle and a valid NSW driver license (P1 & P2 accepted)
- While certifications are highly accepted, we also value relevant experience to which both will be considered.
- Strong English speaking and literacy skills are a must to effectively communicate and engage with our participants. Access to a laptop/word is needed.
