Remote Primary Care Physician

This role is an excellent opportunity for a General Practitioner to join our team and contribute to the delivery of comprehensive primary healthcare in a culturally sensitive and community-led manner.
The position involves working as part of a multidisciplinary remote primary health care team to manage client care across the lifespan, treat illness, promote wellbeing, provide education and training, and support community health action to improve outcomes.
We are seeking an experienced General Practitioner who holds specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA) and has a strong background in providing high-quality primary care in rural/remote settings, ideally in Indigenous health.
The ideal candidate will be culturally aware, have knowledge of issues impacting remote Indigenous communities, and possess accreditation or experience as a GP supervisor. They will also be flexible and willing to work in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Work as part of a multidisciplinary remote primary health care team to deliver comprehensive primary healthcare.
- Manage client care across the lifespan, treat illness, promote wellbeing, and provide education and training.
- Support community health action to improve outcomes.
- Specialist General Practitioner registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA).
- Broad-based primary care experience in rural/remote settings, ideally in Indigenous health.
- Culturally aware and knowledgeable about issues impacting remote Indigenous communities.
- Accreditation or experience as a GP supervisor.
