Paediatrician Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Paediatrician to join our dedicated team, providing specialist care to children across various settings.

About the Role

The successful candidate will provide specialist care for children admitted to the general paediatric ward, including after-hours cover. They will also conduct regular ward rounds and outpatient clinics, incorporating supervision and teaching of junior staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist care for children in various settings.
  • Conduct ward rounds and outpatient clinics, supervising and teaching junior staff.
  • Deliver outreach services to regional hospitals and remote communities.
  • Offer specialist advice to non-paediatric colleagues locally and in remote centres.
  • Engage in continuing medical education, research, and quality improvement.

Essential Criteria
  • Registration with the Medical Board of Australia (or eligibility).
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Physicians (or RACP substantially comparable).
  • Skills in acute, developmental, and behavioural paediatrics.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-culturally.
  • Commitment to Indigenous health, child protection, and trauma-informed care.
  • Dedication to ongoing education, teaching, research, and quality improvement.
