Job Summary

The Financial Leasing Specialist plays a pivotal role in the Management Accounting team, overseeing the financial aspects of commercial leasing arrangements. This includes ensuring accurate financial reporting, verifying lease terms, and upholding conditions of lease agreements.

This dynamic position requires exceptional communication skills, with the ability to effectively plan, prioritize, and manage a demanding workload. The successful candidate will exhibit technical and functional excellence, consistently upholding company values while striving to achieve high standards of sales performance and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Management Accounting team in completing an accurate and timely month-end close to assist key stakeholders with decision making.
  • Analyse monthly results and liaise with various stakeholders across the business to identify favourable and unfavourable variances against forecast and advise stakeholders on areas for improvement.
  • Assist with preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, including investigation of material reconciling items.
Requirements:
  • Experience in lease administration software.
  • Ability to review leases, extract critical information regarding the division of landlord / tenant responsibilities in terms of repairs and maintenance.
  • The ability to undertake reviews of the portfolio in terms of operating expenses and other ad hoc charges.
  • Resolution of finance queries including reconciliation of accounts.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office suite including intermediate excel.
  • Technical or functional expertise including excellent numeracy skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree majoring in finance
  • At least 2 years' relevant experience
  • Studying towards CA or CPA preferred
