Leasing Accountant Role

This is a dynamic role responsible for managing and maintaining relevant financials and commercial leasing arrangements across the organization. It involves ensuring accurate financial reporting, verifying lease terms, and upholding conditions of lease agreements.

You will be responsible for analysing monthly results and liaising with stakeholders to identify favourable and unfavourable variances against forecast. You must advise stakeholders on areas for improvement and develop budgeting and financial policies for organisational operations and commercial leases.

The successful candidate must have exceptional communication skills and technical or functional expertise including excellent numeracy skills. Accuracy and attention to detail are also crucial in this role.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Review leases, extract critical information regarding division of landlord/tenant responsibilities in terms of repairs and maintenance.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to key stakeholders, including management, landlords, boards, and shareholders.
  • Analyse financial data and conduct audits related to business operations, commercial leases, capital investments, and risk assessments.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree majoring in finance.
  • At least 2 years' relevant experience.
  • Studying towards CA or CPA preferred.
