About the role: This is a key leadership position partnering directly with senior management, reporting to the CFO. The role involves managing a medium-sized team, working closely with various business units to provide performance reports, decision support, analysis and insights to help the executive team achieve its strategic objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the commercial finance team to drive function performance with P&L ownership
  • Contribute to decision-making through financial modeling, insights, and analysis of key performance drivers
  • Develop and lead the annual budget planning process, monthly forecast recommendations, and three-year strategic plan
  • Promote business cases for commercial agreements
  • Partner with key divisions to create business plans and strategies
  • Support the business with financial analysis, customer profitability analysis, cost analysis, and corrective action
  • Prepare and present timely and accurate management reports
  • Drive process improvements in the finance reporting function
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, automation, and best practices
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to a high-performing team

Requirements:

  • CA/CPA/CIMA qualifications
  • At least 8 years of commercial finance experience
  • FMCG industry experience
  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with diverse audiences
  • Strong analytical skills for interpreting data and providing recommendations
  • Advanced leadership, coaching, mentoring, and team development skills
