Job Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional to join our team as a Laboratory and Technical Support Advisor.
Main Responsibilities:
- Clinical Support: Provide expert technical support for the preparation of practical classes, ensuring students receive immersive real-world experience that prepares them for veterinary practice.
- Animal Welfare Standards: Evaluate and maintain animal welfare standards to uphold the highest levels of care and compassion.
- Supervision and Training: Supervise and train others in safe animal handling and best practices.
- Maintenance and Equipment Management: Ensure all equipment and facilities are well-maintained and meet the highest standards.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Strong Practical Experience: Proven experience in handling large agricultural animals.
- Farm Facility Management: Demonstrated ability to manage farm facilities and equipment in a safe, efficient, and welfare-focused manner.
- WHS Legislation and Problem-Solving Skills: Understanding of WHS legislation and strong problem-solving skills.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Certifications and Licenses: Current First Aid Certificate, C Class Queensland Driver's Licence, Working with Children Blue Card, and Q Fever vaccination or proof of immunity.
