
Maintenance Shutdown Coordinator

This role is a critical part of ensuring compliance with shutdown management standards and escalating any deviations from the plan. As a Specialist Shutdown Controller, you will be the primary interface between site operations and planning and scheduling teams.
Your key responsibilities include delivery of shutdown schedules, governance of yearly budgeted hours for shutdown lines of responsibility, and ensuring compliance to shutdown management framework through shut planning and execution cycles.
You will also be responsible for analysing work management performance against KPIs to identify and deliver improvement initiatives, managing schedules based on pre-determined priorities and current progress, and interfacing with site and MECoE specific to shutdown outage information and readiness activities.
Additionally, you will liaise with operations and maintenance teams to validate and challenge scope, gather feedback and information from site and operations to be collated for post-outage review, organise and facilitate post-outage review meetings, and liaise with contractors for various activities such as mobilisation, task execution, close out and demobilisation.
As a Specialist Shutdown Controller, you will play a key role in ensuring that shutdown durations are accurate and that required reports are finalised and distributed at the conclusion of the shutdown event.
Requirements and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent safety leadership skills and a history of field leadership participation. You must be process-driven and able to work autonomously and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills are essential, as well as the ability to make decisions in consultation with other business stakeholders. An energetic and enthusiastic approach to work within a team environment is also required.
The ideal candidate will have a WA Statutory Supervisor (S26) qualification and be able to demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
