Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Care Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a compassionate and dedicated healthcare professional, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.

Working closely with a multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for pre and post-operative care, patient assessments, wound care, medication administration and supporting recovery and discharge planning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures
  • Provide pre and post-operative care, patient assessments, wound care, medication administration
  • Support recovery and discharge planning

Requirements:
  • Current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA)
  • Demonstrated experience and clinical skill as a Registered Nurse
  • Demonstrated capacity to provide effective nursing care that is person centred, family inclusive and culturally sensitive to people accessing health services
  • Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work
  • Demonstrated effective communications written and verbal skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional development
  • Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team
  • Ability to work a flexible roster, day evening or night shift across all days of the week
