Data Engineer Specialist for a Financial Institution

Ubank, a forward-thinking financial institution, is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our team in Sydney. With a strong focus on empowering the digital generation, we are committed to creating innovative solutions that simplify personal finance.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data modelling and warehousing techniques, with experience building on and with data lakes, relational databases, file storage, APIs, modern lakehouses, and cloud-based environments. They will also possess a sound understanding of data preparation, transformation, and modelling techniques, as well as knowledge of CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code methodologies.

This role requires strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a cross-functional project team to deliver end-to-end data-driven capabilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for connecting various data systems, ensuring efficient data flow across the organization, and working with business stakeholders to understand their data requirements.

We offer a highly competitive salary of $AUD 120,000 - 150,000 per annum, plus additional benefits such as a hybrid working model, flexible working hours, and opportunities for professional growth and development.

  • We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer with a minimum of 3 years of experience in exploring, developing, and deploying complex data sets and pipelines.
