Health and Safety Specialist

As a Sustainability and Health Professional, you will play a vital role in promoting workplace safety and sustainability.
Our organization is dedicated to empowering businesses to achieve their goals. You will be responsible for implementing health, safety, and sustainability policies, procedures, and initiatives.
- Develop and implement occupational health, safety, and sustainability strategies to promote a safe work environment.
- Coordinate the implementation of all policies and procedures related to occupational health and safety standards.
- Assist in deploying our HSS policies to help achieve a workplace free from injury, discrimination, and harassment.
- Contribute to a strong safety culture by helping to communicate and consult on HSS initiatives.
- Monitor data, trends, and leading indicators to identify opportunities for risk reduction, continuous improvement, and innovation in HSS practices.
- Formal qualifications in Health and Safety (minimum Cert IV WHS).
- Experience in the field of Health, Safety, and Sustainability, particularly in manufacturing/production and sustainability.
- Experience in coordinating workplace injuries in a manufacturing environment.
- RTW Coordinator certificate.
- First Aid certificate (highly desirable).
- Mental Health First Aid training (highly desirable).
- Working knowledge of legislation and regulations in Health, Safety & Sustainability.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret health, safety or environment legislation, standards, and procedures.
- Influential skills providing the ability to impact & motivate leaders and team.
- Problem solver with a strong desire for success.
- Ability to work on multiple projects, work independently, as well as on a team, prioritise workload & meet deadlines.
