About the Role">

Your Opportunity:

You will be responsible for working under the direction of physiotherapists / occupational therapists to deliver a consistently high standard of clinical service to clients in residential aged care settings. As a clinical support assistant, your time will consist of both clinical and administrative duties.

This is a casual position involving 16 hours of work per week. You will be based in Gympie, QLD.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Assisting with the delivery of all physiotherapy services in accordance with Plena Healthcare's operating procedures and policies.
  • Servicing RAC clients in accordance with the allied health professionals treatment plan.
  • Transporting residents to and from the therapy gym area/appointments under the direction of the physiotherapists/occupational therapists.
  • Setting up and packing away the physiotherapy gym, including cleaning both the area and equipment.
  • Collecting referrals and any other administrative tasks as guided by the physiotherapists.
  • Ordering prescribed equipment.
  • Running exercise groups/programs.
  • Supporting initiatives to meet client expectations.
  • Consulting with the physiotherapist/occupational therapist in relation to adaptations/changes/progressions of treatment plans for clients as appropriate.
