Hatch is currently seeking a highly motivated Graduate Mechanical and Piping Engineer to join our dynamic team in Wollongong. This exciting opportunity will enable you to build the extraordinary, every day.

We are looking for a talented individual with a strong academic record in Mechanical Engineering who can prepare engineering calculations for hydraulic and conveying systems as well as static equipment – tanks, pressure vessels, bins and chutes. As a Graduate Mechanical and Piping Engineer at Hatch, you will be responsible for preparing project standard specifications and design criteria, managing packages through their whole life cycle, and working with designers to provide engineering input to 3D model and drawing development.

About the Role:

  • Prepare engineering calculations for hydraulic and conveying system as well as static equipment – tanks, pressure vessels, bins and chutes
  • Prepare project standard specifications and design criteria
  • Manage packages through their whole life cycle, from specifying requirements, completing technical bid evaluations and expediting and reviewing vendor data
  • Work with designers to provide engineering input to 3D model and drawing development

Your Qualifications and Experience:

  • You have or are working towards a Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a strong academic record.
  • You bring leadership and teamwork skills, advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, along with an ability to think laterally and innovatively.

Hatch offers a competitive salary of $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, plus superannuation and other benefits.
