HR Generalist Role

We are seeking a seasoned HR professional to join our team as an HR Generalist.

Job Description
  • This role will be responsible for managing employment contracts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant legislation.
  • The successful candidate will oversee onboarding and offboarding processes to create a seamless employee experience.
  • Responsibilities will also include handling leave requests, acting as the first point of contact for HR and payroll queries, supporting recruitment activities, coordinating workplace health & safety initiatives, and supporting culture and engagement initiatives that foster connection and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage employment contracts and ensure compliance with local legislation.
  2. Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes to deliver a seamless employee experience.
  3. Handle leave requests and serve as the primary point of contact for HR and payroll inquiries.
  4. Support recruitment activities, including job postings, applicant screening, and interview coordination.
  5. Coordinate workplace health and safety initiatives and communications.
  6. Support culture and engagement initiatives to promote connection and well-being.

Requirements:

  • A strong understanding of local employment law and workplace relations.
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in an HR generalist or specialist role.
  • Proven track record across the employee lifecycle, including contracts, compliance, and policies.
  • Experience supporting small, growing teams or startups is preferred.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and payroll systems is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, along with a proactive and detail-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely across different time zones.
