Project Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Estimating Specialist. As a key member of our corporate estimating group, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and accurate preparation of estimates for projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of detailed tender estimates, quantities, prices, and costing for projects
  • Interpret specifications and standards to assess their impact on project costs
  • Develop accurate estimates through first principles pricing of direct and indirect job costs
  • Review project designs for opportunities and omissions
  • Assess design development contingency and construction contingency costs

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified or significant on-the-job experience with part professional qualifications
  • Chartered Status in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Construction Management
  • Minimum 4+ years experience in an estimating role
  • Advanced skills in estimating computer software packages and databases
  • Financial management skills
  • Quantitative and qualitative risk assessment
  • Experience in various contract types
