Property Damage Estimator Role

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Property Damage Estimator. As a key member of our insurance claims assessment team, you will play a critical role in evaluating structural damage and preparing accurate repair estimates for residential and commercial properties.

This is an excellent opportunity to utilize your expertise in property damage estimating and construction practices to help clients recover from property damage due to fire, water, storms, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough on-site property inspections across the region, with occasional travel outside the area as needed.
  • Prepare detailed damage assessments and repair estimates using industry-standard software such as Xactimate.
  • Identify code upgrades, hidden damages, and additional scopes often missed by carrier adjusters.
  • Collaborate with internal team members including public adjusters, contents specialists, and claim managers.
  • Support claims through documentation, photographs, and expert insights during negotiations.
  • Participate in joint inspections and adjuster meetings when required.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in property damage estimating or a related construction field.
  • Proficiency with Xactimate (REQUIRED).
  • Strong understanding of residential and/or commercial construction practices.
  • A reliable vehicle and valid driver's license (REQUIRED).
  • Ability and willingness to travel throughout the region—and occasionally beyond.
  • Excellent organizational and written communication skills.
  • Professional, compassionate communicator — able to assist property owners during times of loss.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and detail-oriented.
