About Anglicare Southern Queensland

We are seeking Support Workers to join our Home and Community Service team, providing invaluable support to our clients in their own homes.

About the Role

As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing cleaning support to our clients, enabling them to live their best lives in their own homes. We currently have positions available in the following suburbs:

  • Inner West: Chelmer, Corinda, and Graceville
  • Inner South: Darra, Jamboree Heights, Middle Park, Dutton Park, Fairfield, Highgate Hill, Cannon Hill, Carina, Carina Heights, Carindale, and South Brisbane
  • Eastern Suburbs: Balmoral, Bulimba, Hawthorne, Morningside, Norman Park, Buranda, Camp Hill, Coorparoo, East Brisbane, Greenslopes, Kangaroo Point, Stones Corner, Annerley, Murarrie, Holland Park, Holland Park West, and Wishart
  • South Central: Cooper Plains, Moorooka, Nathan, Robertson, Acacia Ridge, Archerfield, Eight Mile Plains, Macgregor, Runcorn, Mackenzie, Mansfield, Mount Gravatt, Mount Gravatt East, and Upper Mount Gravatt

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in cleaning
  • Comfortable in the use of housekeeping equipment
  • Able to follow domestic care plans
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to maintain professional boundaries with clients and their families
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively with the elderly
  • Physical fitness, reliability, enthusiasm, and a friendly demeanor
  • A Certificate II or III in Asset Maintenance (Cleaning Operations) is highly regarded, but not required

The Following Will Be Required of Successful Applicants

  • Current Driver Licence and a reliable vehicle
  • A current National Police Certificate
  • Tetanus and Hepatitis B shots (or willingness to obtain)
