About Your New Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our Critical Supports Services Team in Capalaba. As a vital member of our team, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional care and innovative strategies to support customers with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers with personal care, household duties, cooking, and medication management.
  • Provide companionship and build meaningful relationships with customers.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to develop and implement individualised support plans.
  • Respond to emergent situations and prioritise workloads effectively.

About You:

  • Experience in complex support environments, including In-Home Supports, Supported Independent Living, Clinical Settings, and Community Access.
  • Manual handling and personal care skills, including bathing, toileting, and dressing.
  • Effective communication and strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Extensive experience working with complex support needs, implementing Positive Behavioural Support Plans, and handling mental health challenges.

Requirements:

  • A current Open Driver's License.
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
  • 1 year experience in the Disability Sector providing services to individuals with high-complex needs.
