Job Title: Environmental Sustainability Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Sustainability Specialist to join our team and contribute to our efforts in environmental management.

  • Provide expert advice on environmental compliance to ensure adherence to relevant legislation.
  • Collaborate with the Environmental Systems team to implement the Environmental Management Framework, including audit and inspection programs, environmental assessment procedures, and incident management processes.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and create value for the community through effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
  • Conduct site inspections to identify, assess, and provide guidance on hazards or potential risks.
  • Offer professional environmental advice to all levels of staff, ensuring seamless integration of sustainability practices into daily operations.
  • Prioritize contributions to Environmental Impact Assessments and the development of Environmental Management Plans as required.

To excel in this role, you will require relevant qualifications, extensive experience in environmental investigation and reporting, and thorough knowledge of current NSW environmental legislation. You must also possess excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively within a team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • This is a permanent full-time position.
  • The successful candidate will enjoy a 9-day fortnight schedule and flexible working arrangements (two days from home, three days onsite).
  • The annual salary package includes up to $107,700 per year, plus 12% superannuation, with opportunities for progression based on performance and skills.
