Claims and Advocacy Specialist

The Claims and Advocacy team at RSL LifeCare requires a skilled professional to fill the role of Advocate. The successful candidate will be responsible for submitting DVA claims and representing clients at the Veterans' Review Board, ensuring exceptional customer-centered service.
- Exceed expectations by delivering outstanding service, providing valuable consultation, and driving continuous improvement.
- Show empathy and flexibility in all interactions.
- Liaise with external stakeholders, related services, and agencies associated with DVA.
- Participate in strategic projects aligned with business objectives and adapt to change.
- Take ownership of work outcomes associated with claim preparation, submission, and follow-up.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Compensation Advocate Level 3 qualification or working towards it.
- A comprehensive understanding of defence entitlements under relevant legislation and Veteran's Review Board policies.
- Completion of relevant courses or willingness to complete them.
- A deep understanding of defence-related illnesses and conditions.
- Exceptional relationship-building skills both internally and externally.
- Highly developed communication skills and ability to prioritise, manage, and problem-solve effectively.
