If this sounds like something you'd enjoy, we have an excellent opportunity for someone to join our Sydney office as a Claims Advocate in our Professional & Financial Lines Team.

What will you be doing?

• End to end management of a varied and complex portfolio of financial lines claims including Professional Indemnity, Directors & Officers, Cyber, Employment Practices liability and Statutory Liability claims.
• Act as client's trusted consultant and advocate
• Advising on notifications of circumstances and claims.
• Policy coverage analysis and advice.
• Proactively ensuring smooth coordination of claims with insurers
• Advocating positions on behalf of clients, managing and resolving coverage issues.
• Assessing and understanding legal exposure and quantum, liaising with defence counsel and insurers on strategy and defence of the claim.
• Coordinating and driving pragmatic resolution of claims.
• Implement and manage claims protocols and reporting procedures, including bordereau reporting.

You will need the following experience and qualifications:

• Solid experience, demonstrated knowledge and technical expertise in financial lines insurance claims, litigation and insurance law
• Bachelor's degree in law preferred.
• Skilled in policy coverage analysis.
• Strong technical and advocacy skills.

• Work collaboratively with others, while also being self-motivated and able to independently manage responsibilities and priorities.
