Job Overview:

The NOC Engineer plays a vital role in ensuring the reliability, stability, and performance of network services in a dynamic operational environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Continuously monitor network infrastructure and services for performance, availability, and stability, promptly responding to alerts and taking appropriate actions to address issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network-related incidents and customer faults within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs), elevating unresolved or critical incidents to higher-level support teams as required.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with stakeholders and customers regarding incident updates and resolutions, providing accurate updates in the incident tracking tool.
  • Collaborate with relevant teams to reduce the likelihood of incidents reoccurring and contribute to building a centralized knowledge base to enhance team efficiency and collaboration.
  • Assist with network maintenance, upgrades, impact analysis, and other planned changes to minimize operational impact, adhering to change control procedures to ensure risks are assessed and properly mitigated before implementation.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in telecommunications, preferably in technical roles, including network management, equipment configuration, and fault resolution processes.
  • Able to monitor voice network systems using NMS tools and ticketing platforms, configuring and supporting voice hardware, such as routers, switches, SBCs, and IP phones.
  • Working knowledge of Cisco Call Manager, Avaya, Asterisk, and Genesys platforms, troubleshooting skills in packet analysis, call flow tracing, and fault isolation.
  • Strong understanding of network operations, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization, proven ability to respond effectively to network incidents and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to address operational challenges, strong written and communication skills to present technical information clearly to different audiences.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, challenging environment, prioritize tasks effectively, and develop and maintain strong interpersonal working relationships.
